Abstract
There is currently no published evidence that conclusively identifies Pseudomonas aeruginosa as a venereally transmitted pathogen in horses.
It is recommended that P aeruginosa be considered an opportunistic pathogen in the reproductive tract, and its presence on the clitoris should, therefore, not result in a mare being ineligible for natural service.
