Abstract

n September 2011 the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua Ltd.) launched ISQua Knowledge, a collaborative learning platform that was to operate independently of the parent organization. The platform was designed to connect individuals with an interest in improving quality and safety in health care, through an environment that facilitated sharing, with the intention of developing a global knowledge base. In October 2012, prompted by both user feedback and the changing priorities of the organization, the environment was redesigned and launched from within the website of the parent organization, ISQua Ltd. Although ISQua Knowledge is no longer a distinct entity, several of the most successful features of the original platform have been retained. The analysis presented in this chapter is based on the first version of ISQua Knowledge.
