Abstract

The Threats to Australian Domestic Security team welcomes the invitation to make a submission to the Review of the Counter-Terrorism Legislation Amendment (Prohibited Hate Symbols and Other Measures) Bill 2023. This team sits within the Charles Sturt University-funded Contemporary Threats to Australian Security research group. It is a multidisciplinary team, with members from criminology, policing, terrorism and security studies, international relations, criminal justice, and law.
We thank the PJCIS for the opportunity to make a submission to the review. We do so jointly as members of the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security at Charles Sturt University.
