Abstract
This article is an analysis and interpretation of the the Centre in terms of the discussion in political philosophy of the concept of the commons. Building on this discussion the article develops the idea of an ecclesial commons directed towards the common good. In doing so it reinterprets the ancient virtue of humility in institutional and structural terms.
