Abstract
This chapter will provide a critical exposition and analysis of Michael Boylan's theory of justice in his book A Just Society (2004, chapter 7), drawing close parallels when warranted between Boylan's theory of justice and his theory of ethics on which it is based and Alan Gewirth's ethical theory (Gewirth, 1978) as defended and further developed in my book Ethics With Reason: A New-Gewirthian Approach (Spence, 2006).
