Abstract

Around 80% of residents in aged care facilities have symptoms of dementia, and rates are rising in the general population. Previous studies suggest the knowledge of dementia among RACF staff is in general poor. This highlights the importance of providing high quality dementia education to heath students and aged care clinicians.
