    Abstract

Writing, one of the most powerful means of communicating, is also a thoughtprovoking, generative process, offering us the opportunity to present our work to others and seek feedback on our ideas. A good essay must clearly demonstrate your understanding and learning about the set topic, or justify a position or a course of action. This chapter will help you to achieve this end and provides advice on analysing your essay topic, structuring your essay, supporting your case and writing well.
