Abstract
This paper documents the use of the sustainable environmental education program, Learnscape, in a small rural school. Learnscape starts at the classroom and moves to the playground, and then beyond, to create a new place for learning. Learnscape allows us to cross curriculum boundaries, but also to engage the school community in a whole new discourse around the importance of culture and curriculum. The presentation documents the experiences of this rural school as it promotes learning across the whole community through the exploration of traditional Aboriginal culture in this supportive place.
