Abstract
During the 65th Council on Social Work Education’s Annual Programme Meeting,
held from 24 to 27 October 2019, in Denver, CO, I had a good fortune of meeting
Professor Murali D. Nair, who kindly presented his book, Evidence Based Macro
Practice in Social Work, to me. It is a great feeling to meet authors in person and
be inspired by their work. Having authored several books, I know what it takes to
write a book. I was especially attracted to Professor Nair and Guerrero’s work
because I have been engaged in macro practice learning and teaching and research
for a long time. I am curious about new and updated books. I have already used
this book in my teaching and research. The fact that it has seen its second edition
speaks about the usefulness of the book in teaching, research and practice
