Abstract
Prehospital emergency care, as an integral component of the medical emergency system, delivers community-centered medical assistance. It promptly attends to patients facing acute healthcare situations. The main responsibility of the prehospital emergency is to transfer patients with a high level of urgency to healthcare centers. Patient transfer encompasses more than just moving the patient physically and mainly aims to ensure continuity of care. It refers to the entire process and infrastructure involved before, during, and after moving a
patient from one place to another. It is completely different from transportation, which only entails physical movement. Ambulance services play a crucial role in primary transfers, relocating patients from the scene of illness or injury to hospitals. Secondary transfers involve the transportation of critically ill patients either within a hospital or between different healthcare facilities.
