Abstract
Analysis of the context of the 'Egyptian Curtain' in Henri Matisse's painting 'Interior with Egyptian Curtain' (1948). This article argues that it is a Khedival khayamiya, made by the Tentmakers of Cairo, and cites instances of its use in other artworks by Matisse.
