Using a 'what works' framework and highly individualized case plans, Whitelion matches young people with adult mentors and creates openings in the workplace that would ordinarily be inaccessible to young people with substance abuse backgrounds, criminal records andlimited educational qualifications. This paper provides a detailed account of the individualized programs in a series of three case studies
