Abstract

During spring 2021, we delivered water for the environment from the Menindee Lakes to help support the recovery of native fish populations in the Lower Darling / Baaka River following the 2018-19 fish death events. In particular, we aimed to support Murray cod breeding by providing extra food and breeding habitat for the fish.

Fisheries scientists monitored native fish responses to flows in 2021-22, continuing on from monitoring in previous years.
