Abstract
This article presents an exploration into the connections between eschatology, the moral teachings of Jesus Christ, and the legitimization of violence through the narratives of the New Testament Gospel of Saint Mark. Discussion is given regarding the alleged paradoxes between the gospel's violently depicted eschatology and nonviolent christology.
