Research output: Book chapter/Published conference paperChapter

Abstract

This chapter examines the stories of three "daughters of the land" -- Eve, Hagar and Potiphar's wife -- around the motif of "mothering." The upshot is the opportunity to see all three characters in more positive light, with Potiphar's wife seen as one who grabbed Joseph because she wanted to be a mother also.
