Abstract
Swami Muktananda died in 1982 at the height of his Siddha Yoga movement's success. Before his death, or mahÄ�samÄ�dhi, Siddha Yoga had becomea worldwide movement with Ä�śrams and centersin many countries, boasting a quarter of a million followers. For the Siddha Yoga community, the death of their guru was sudden and devastating; to his followers, Muktananda was Siddha Yoga.
