Abstract

My Body: A War Zone is a travelling exhibition in Bosnian and English. The exhibition was designed by Willhemina Wahlin (Charles Sturt University and PROOF: Media for Social Justice) and curated by Leora Kahn (PROOF: Media for Social Justice) and project partner, the Post Conflict Research Centre.

The exhibition features the testimonies and portraits of survivors of rape from Democratic Republic of Congo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia and Nepal. Featuring photographs by Blake Fitch, Nayan Tara Gurung Kakshapati, Pete Muller, Midhat Poturovic.

Exhibition opened by Edward Ferguson (British Ambassador to BiH), Midhat Poturovic (photographer), Hasija Brankovic (survivor), Tim Bidey (PCRC).

Exhibition has been shown as part of the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative (Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 19-26 November 2014) and the WARM (War Art Reporting and Memory Festival at BBI Centar, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1-7 July 2015).
