Abstract
This paper shares the author's reflections on his international social work journey, and also some ‘foreflections’ in terms of predictions or what is to come. It addresses two important questions: 1. What do international social work theories aim for? 2. How does international social work contribute to the development of social work itself? Drawing on his experiences, it argues that that there is scope and potential for international social work to build a united world to ensure a minimum standard and quality of life for everyone.
