Abstract
This study examines the National Library Websites of South Asian countries in order to assess its compliance with WCAG 2.0 priority A Level issues using commercial website accessibility evaluation tool i.e. SortSite®. After analyzing the complete websites o,f national libraries ofSAARC member countries, the study finds that 46% of the web pages pass the evaluation test. Moreover, Sri Lankan National Library Website reaches the best pass rate, however, it accedes the number of web pages with priority a level issues. Furthermore, National Library Website of Pakistan and India need more improvements in order to be accessible for PWDs. Nevertheless, some common errors found among all NLWs. Finally, the study concludes that National Library Websites of South Asian countries cannot be easily accessible by the People With Disability (PWDs). Therefore, suggestions have been formulated for each website separately for improvement and compliance to WCAG 2. 0.
