Abstract
Renal and urological disorders encompass a wide spectrum of clinical problems. The diverse causes of these disorders may involve infectious, immunological, obstructive, metabolic, collagen'vascular, traumatic, congenital, neoplastic and neurological mechanisms. This chapter discusses specific disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. Acute renal failure and chronic kidney disease are discussed in Chapter 46 while female reproductive problems are discussed in Chapter 53 and male genitourinary problems are discussed in Chapter 54.
