Abstract
This body of ceramic work resulted from a period of residency at the Burlington Art Centre, in Burlington Ontario, Canada in from January to July in 2011. The work builds on previous series of works in this genre and is centred around a range of explorations with local materials, ie, clays, glaze ingredients and different firing methods. The works reflected my intuition and willingness to accept the seredipitous nature of the process, especially when firing in a wood-fired anagama kiln. Of the one hundred pieces made, thirty works were exhibited at the BAC.
