Abstract

Remedial surgery is an effective strategy for the management of eutypa dieback, and research led by SARDI, in collaboration with NWGIC, and funded by Wine Australia, has been further evaluating the technique for botryosphaeria dieback. Water shoot production following remedial surgery may be limited, particularly with vines on rootstocks, and research has also evaluated techniques for inducing water shoots to maximise regrowth in vineyards.
