Abstract

Systematic review of literature was conducted through searching electronic databases.
Search terms included ‘asthma’, ‘rural or remote or regional’ ‘paramedic or ambulance or prehospital’.
Literature uncovered was predominately outdated (early 2000’s).
No literature to back up the most recent statistics.
This shows that there is a gap in research into prehospital asthma management in rural and remote Australia.
