    Abstract

A performance artwork for the theatre consisting of a conceptual piece for the Frost/Nixon Debate, at the Historic Council Chambers, under the auspices of the Council of Wagga Wagga, and the Basement Theatre, of written pieces that critiqued cultural views surrounding media in the 1940s, and debate regarding resultant media influences in the 1970s, towards the play Frost/Nixon to be performed at the Basement Theatre in April 2012. My contribution to this project was the performative script/acting performance developed to linked narration for original recitations, which emanated in response to World War Two media culture and critique regarding the role of radio and propaganda culture. My performance provided an aesthetic and conceptual overview of postcolonial media practices in the 1940s in Australia, engaging contemporary discourse surrounding current art strategies.
