| Other | The 12th Spanish-Italian Symposium on Organic Chemistry (SISOC-XII) will be held in Ferrara from July 2 to July 4, 2018. The event belongs to a cycle of bilateral Spanish-Italian meetings organized by the Division of Organic Chemistry of the Società Chimica Italiana and the Real Sociedad Española de Química. Previous SISOC editions took place at Valencia (1996), Lecce (1998), Málaga (2000), Perugia (2002), Santiago de Compostela (2004), Taormina (2006), Oviedo (2008), Padova (2010), Tenerife (2012), Firenze (2014) and Donostia-San Sebastián (2016). The event aims at encouraging the exchange of experiences and information between the most important experts of the two countries in this field, in order to set up networks and collaborations and to improve the development of research in organic chemistry. The Scientific Program will include 28 Invited Lectures (14 Italian, 14 Spanish), a special invited Lecture by Prof. Maurizio Prato, a selected number of Oral Communications, as well as Poster presentation sessions. Young scientists, particularly graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, are strongly encouraged to attend. The organization will arrange a number of grants for them. |
