Abstract
"Pictures in a Gallery" was a new and emergent media art initiative that explored new methods of exhibition arrangement and organisation. The exhibition created a space for preliminary discourse in to the relationship of art and architecture, particularly that of the regional and university gallery system. It worked to deliver pathways for exploration of the connectivity between place-making, and identity-removal in terms of gallery environment and gallery community, and to develop and deliver diverse, innovative and experimental public interactions. The ongoing significance of this is a double-blind peer reviewed journal article about this exhibition which will be published in Fusion-Journal 4 as a way to continue the discourse on regional and university gallery expectations more broadly.
