Abstract

After obtaining the top management’s approval of the change proposal for an organization, a change leader or manager can start with the second phase of change management life cycle: planning the change. A planning team, group or committee for planning the change may be established in a large organization. The vital elements of this phase are to create the vision for change; set the goals and objectives; develop strategies and tactics; identify and overcome resistance of change; develop the plan for the change; review and evaluate each step and all documents.

First, this chapter concentrates on the process of planning the change. Second, it investigates the key steps of the process of planning the change. Finally, it summarizes the key points of this chapter.
