Abstract
Little research has been conducted on the provision of information infrastructure (such as access to libraries and information resources) in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Its use, and the needs of students for such services, is relatively unknown. While these services have been integral to public training organisations, this is not the case for private registered training organisations (RTOs). This research is a preliminary investigation into the use of public libraries by students of private RTOs. The aim of this modest study was to gain some insight into how students of these organisations use public library resources, and the implications for the libraries.
