    Abstract

This chapter discusses public theology and the search for communities of peace. So as to clarify the different ways in which public theology has been pursued, the chapter analyses and evaluates a variety of types of public theology, and identifies how religious stereotyping must have a clear awareness both of the type of public theology being observed and also the type being used.
