Abstract

'Examining Praxis' explores the question of whether the assessments conducted in a program of pre-service professional education assess what is most important for teachers or nurses in training to know in order to practice in their chosen profession. Different contributors explore what is revealed in the texts of degree projects. The question of how to develop students' capability for praxis is a complex one which often involves tensions within and between theory, practice and institutions. 'Examining Praxis' is a valuable contribution to this endeavour.
