Abstract

The book Paths to Inclusive Education: practices, principles and challenges brings together diverse and successful experiences and aims to provide teachers, parents, students and support services with information on Inclusive Education practices from elementary school to higher education. In addition to describing the work carried out, it includes testimonials from parents, students, sign language interpreters, employees, teachers with disabilities, and testimonials from the organizers, former deans and professors of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program. The book addresses topics that encompass the discussion regarding sign language, essential for the inclusion of the deaf in society, and also analyzes new trends in the educational field. That way, this is an important resource for anyone wanting to organize teacher training programs or train teams that want to work in an inclusive institution. There are relevant contributions to a new horizon that opens up in the field of education for people with disabilities. Researchers, professors, students and readers in general interested in the subject will find this title a vital, enlightening and pleasant work.
