Abstract

This report reviews the accreditation functions of the Children’s Guardian, pursuant to section 188(1) of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 (NSW), aimed at improving the system of Out-Of-Home Care [OOHC] in NSW.
Specifically, the Report reviews the regulatory processes and mechanisms for ensuring the safety of children in OOHC.
