Abstract
The artist documented his journey to O'wi'cim (Auschwitz) in 2004 through field recordings, photographs and ephemera. This new work selects from this archive a recording of the silence in the former concentration camp, and a train ticket which was digitally enlarged to 2.5 x 1 meters. Damian Candusso, one of Australia's leading sound designers, created an experimental sound work reinterpreting the silence. Image and sound were exhibited together, with the sound playing through headphones situated underneath the print.
