Abstract

The paper addresses the status of two AFIF-supported research projects that are currently being undertaken by the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies, Charles Sturt University, which have the potential to benefit members. These include a review of licensing arrangements for depot operators and customs brokers; and research into the future of 'Accredited Operator' programs such as the Trusted Trader and Regulated Shipper programs that are being proposed by ACBPS and OTS.
