Abstract

Two topics relevant to pharmacists in the media recently involved the subject of pain: one involved professional pain and the other chronic.First, Auspharm(e)news surveyed pharmacists and the National Association of Pharmacy Students of Australia (NAPSA) surveyed its membership about recommending pharmacy as a career. From the Auspharm(e)news survey, apparently 58% of pharmacists would not recommend pharmacy as a career to school leavers, while NAPSA reported that one in four pharmacy students would not recommend a pharmacy career to others. The profession appears to have serious problems in its current form.
