Abstract
On 30 September Federal Minister for Health and Ageing, Nicola Roxon released draft legislation for eHealth records for public consultation. Much has been written about protection of privacy and risk of leaks, with horror stories about one DVD being able to hold the intimate details of tens of thousands of people and laptop computers going missing. Much less has been written about the health benefits, especially to rural and remote residents.
