Abstract

“Safe Spaces, Authentic Voices”, an Australian, auto-ethnographic interview project with theatrical practitioners living and working with neuro-diversity presented by Dr Robert Lewis and Dan Graham. This one by one interview approach highlights what safe spaces could look like for artists with disabilities involved in collaborative performance processes. Dan’s experiences with his personal journey on navigating a career in the performing arts, adjusting performance spaces and rehearsal rooms, and sharing other approaches and improvements, as well as Robert's research and practice, will help attendees develop a greater understanding of inclusion and neurodiversity in creative work environments.
