Abstract

The recent pandemic has accelerated the development of remote connectivity around the world. Fast global access is essential to Australia’s cloud data centre. SD-WAN offers an intelligent solution to improve data exchange speeds when connecting multiple remote sites to provide a much more stable and faster network. SD-WAN optimises the connections of your network. It uses the technology of software-defined networking (SDN) to intelligently route network traffic between branch offices and data center sites. So when your network expands and demands increase, the data can be organised well and handled with less latency. Fast and reliable global access is then guaranteed. This paper investigates the two types of SD-WAN architectures in detail, namely On-POP-Overlay and On-Premises-Overlay, and simulates the Edge Cloud Network Acceleration service scenario On-POP-Overlay architecture, constructs measurement messages. Analyse the impact of the Edge Cloud Network Acceleration on the forwarding delay through actual test data comparison in Australia.
