Abstract
The article presents a study of the perception of New South Wales students on "good" mathematics teachers. It says that most students see "good" mathematics teachers as those who explain well, provide one-on-one help, and with pleasant, kind, and caring characteristics. It states that these depictions illustrate an expression of some elements of pedagogical content knowledge and the significance of the emotional and social reactions of students.
