Abstract

This publication describes the sequential application of two molecularly imprinted polymers templated with resveratrol or the close structural analogue 3,5-dihydroxy-N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)benzamide, respectively as solid phase extraction materials for the analysis and separation of resveratrol and other structurally similar polyphenols from a complex biomass waste stream. Tandem liquied chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spectrometry confirmed the identiity and purity of the isolated products.
