Shape resonance in the 4d ionization of the molecular caesium halides

Abstract

Photoelectron asymmetry parameters (β) have been measured for photoionization from the Cs+ 4d subshells in the molecular caesium halides using photons in the energy range 50-120 eV. A resonance is observed in the β spectrum close to threshold and is assigned to a centrifugal barrier shape resonance.
