Abstract

This document serves as a repository for a number of distribution maps of the newspaper coverage of late nineteenth and early twentieth century cremations as well as the associated references for the data points plotted. This document forms part of a wider research project into the history and cultural heritage of late nineteenth and early twentieth century Punjabi immigrants in southeastern Australia [1-9]. In particular it supports research into the role of the press in Australian inter-colonial reporting of cremation events at the end of the nineteenth century.
