Special Session - Practice-Based Simulation to Develop Students into Engineering Cadets

Research output: Book chapter/Published conference paperConference paperpeer-review

Abstract

This proposal outlines a special session to demonstrate practice-based simulation of an engineering project. At Charles Sturt University (CSU) Engineering the intent of a project-based, semester long subject is to provide a context for the learning of key civil engineering disciplines. The special session will involve engineers working both at CSU, and as professional engineers, and will simulate how the subject is currently delivered to a small cohort of students. It is intended that the special session will showcase the practical approach taken, but will stimulate discussions to expand application across a larger number of students.
