The Central Western Region covers 65,000 sqaure kms, stretching from the Blue Mountains in the east to Lake Cargelligo in the west. along a 350 kms axis. The Region's altitudes range from 1400 meters above sea level in teh east to 200 meters above sea level in the west. The Region varies between the sub-humid and the semi-arid.
