The book looks at the eucharistic theology of the Articles of Religion, tracing their history and theology from the time of the English Reformation to the present. Extensive comment is made on the final form of the Articles concerned with the Eucharist in the 39 Articles of 1571, that is, Articles XXVIII, XXIX, XXX and XXXI. The place of the Articles within Anglicanism is assessed alongside the diversity of interpretation of doctrine. Both modern and older authors are engaged in the discussion.
