Abstract

The purpose of this study is to empirically test the effect transformational leadership has on organisational climate for innovation, innovative work behaviour and organisational performance of Malaysian Government-linked Companies (GLCs). Data was obtained from 202 respondents. The hypothesised relationship of the constructs in the theoretical model was supported. In terms of practice, this research leads to a better understanding of the desired leadership style that will build the right climate to enhance individual innovativeness.
