The new syllabus: classroom-focused learning activities

Abstract

This presentation provides participants with a wide variety of classroom-ready learning strategies and resources across the language, reading and writing content of the new syllabus. Approaches to integrating rich and diverse texts within classroom learning activities are showcased through practice-based examples and resources. Research highlights the
importance of enhancing student engagement through purposeful contexts for classroom learning, and how student-centred classroom strategies provide opportunities for creative, enjoyable, challenging and powerful learning in English.
