Abstract

Volatile extraction of camellia oil (Camellia oleifera Abel) by headspace solid phase microextraction-gaschromatography (HS-SPME-GC) using 50/30 'm DVB/CAR/PDMS fiber are presented. Parameters such as total peak area, ratio of total peak area to number of peaks, peak number and peak area of main volatiles were used for optimization of extraction variables. Extraction conditions that gave good total recovery and diversity of compounds from camellia oil headspace were found to be: 1 g oil sample in 15 mL vessel; exposure for 25 min at40 '; stirring at 100 r/min and desorption for 3 min at 260 '.
