Other“Genomics in Metabolism”, held on November 3-6, was the 4th edition of the Copenhagen Bioscience Conferences. The conference series is initiated by the Novo Nordisk Foundation with two annual conferences being held. The centres in the Foundation’s cluster of research centres take turns, together with the Foundation, in arranging and hosting a conference. This conference was hosted by the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research and had 200 participants.

At the conference, 22 of the world’s leading scientists in the field gave lectures on subjects including "genomics of diabetes", "epigenetics and metabolism", "genomics of obesity", "gut microbiome and metabolism", "non-coding RNA and epigenetics" and "epigenetics inheritances".

The conference also had two poster sessions. Except for the speakers, all participants were asked to bring posters presenting their research. To maximise networking and knowledge sharing, all participants had agreed to be present for the entire conference.
