Abstract
International research collaboration in health care predicts quality in scientific knowledge development. Yet, information about the process and challenges of collaboration is limited. The purpose of this presentation is to share research collaboration processes from survey development to manuscript writing in an international collaboration that aimed to define family nursing from a global perspective.

Other | With special excitement and enthusiasm, and on behalf of the IFNA Board of Directors and the IFNC14 Conference Planning Committee, we look forward to hosting you at the 14th International Family Nursing Conference August 13 -16, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, Washington D.C., USA . We gratefully acknowledge the support of Linda B. Talley, RN, MS, NE-BC, Vice President and Chief Nurse Officer at Children’s National Health System (Children’s National), and the regional academic and service partners of Children’s National, in developing this venue plan. The IFNC14 Conference Planning Committee is busy preparing for the conference. IFNC14 promises to be exciting given the quality contributions that members of the International Family Nursing Association are making around the world. Pamela Hinds, PhD, RN, FAAN will serve as our local representative on the Conference Planning Committee and will coordinate planning assistance from professionals from local health care and academic institutions. IFNC14 attendees will have the opportunity to build knowledge about family-related issues. We hope to use the occasion of meeting in the city of the United States’ national government at this important time to strategize and examine family health policy with an international lens. Our collective insights can inform initiatives of IFNA and members regarding their national constituencies. We urge you to plan to share family health, family care, and family nursing wisdom with international colleagues in August 2019 and stay tuned for further details about IFNC14, August 14 -16 and the planned pre-conferences on August 13. |
